Learning to Learn Reading Comprehension

Students reading at 7th grade level were given LTL or traditional reading instruction over 13 weeks. Reading comprehension gains were assessed by a standardized reading instrument.

Students failing Algebra 1 made the following improvements within 6 weeks of starting Learning to Learn®

Learning to Learn Science

10th graders studying biology were introduced to LTL 12 weeks into the academic year. All tests emphasized Open Response Questions.

Before LTL: 17 of the 22 students in the class received D- or F on all classroom tests.

After 6 weeks of LTL: Students were given a test comprised of open-response questions on the chemical processes underlying photosynthesis. Results were as follows:
