WVUís longitudinal study provides additional evidence of LTLís lasting impacts on student achievement.
Treatment: 70 freshmen given 3-credit LTL course
No Treatment: 70 matched controls
GPA of both groups were followed each semester through the studentsí senior year.
Each semester, the LTL students attained significantly higher GPAs than did controls.
In their last semester as graduating seniors at WVU, the GPA difference between LTL students and controls was p< .03.
